It’s easy to practice magic when you were born with it. Witch Freya Von Doom finds an isolated spot in the woods, breathes and listens, smudge stick and crystal ball at the ready. Today, she senses something new: someone has stepped into her woods. Hiker Leana Lovings, in a grey athletic set and white cap, only meant to go for a walk, but she is drawn to the strange, beautiful woman at the heart of the ritual. Freya has been waiting a long time for a companion like her, and she asks if Leana wants to stay. Leana does. She kneels at Freya’s chair, and what happens next is pure, willing magic, outdoors under the trees. Will she walk out of those woods the same woman?
